Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may already know, Samsung Redwood Z9005, the first Samsung smartphone running Tizen 2.2 has been demoed in a 10 minute video.

The video offers a design overall presentation of the smartphone and demos some features, including the scrollable status bar and the icon animations, the notiications toggle which is similar to Android’s, and the storage size: 12.15 GBs. There isn’t much information about the hardware specs, but it will have an HD display and a Snapdragon chipset for sure.

Samsung should also release it’s Galaxy S4 with Tizen 3.0 in 2014. Also, the first Tizen tablet has been released by a japanese company called Systena, providing the developers access to the source code and documentation.
