AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.95 Has Been Released With Support For Valve’s SteamOS

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Valve’s SteamOS did not officially support ATI Radeon graphics cards, until the release of the AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.95 drivers.

The AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.95 comes support for SteamOS and a few bug-fixes, no new features being implemented in it. For more information, see the changelog.

AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.95 Have Been Released With Support For Valve's SteamOS

In this article I will show you how to install the AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.95 driver on the most popular Linux systems, including: SteamOS, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Debian, Elementary OS, Pear OS, Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE, Mageia, ROSA Desktop, Arch Linux and many others.

There is no repository for the ATI drivers, but they are available as precompiled libraries and can be easily downloaded from the official site, and run. Follow this intructions exactly, in order to get a successful installation.

How to install the AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.95 on Linux systems:

$ wget -c www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/amd-catalyst-13.11-betav9.95-linux-x86.x86_64.zip
$ unzip amd-catalyst-13.11-betav9.95-linux-x86.x86_64.zip
$ sudo chmod +x amd-catalyst-13.11-betav9.95-linux-x86.x86_64
$ ./amd-catalyst-13.11-betav9.95-linux-x86.x86_64
