“Dota 2 Test” Has Been Released By Valve With Support For Linux And Mac

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may already know, Valve has released Dota 2 Test for Linux and Mac OS Systems. Dota 2 Test is still a testing client, created to gain feedback from the users, in order to add Dota 2 support on Linux.

For now, the Dota 2 Test users play their favourite game only against others, using Linux and Mac. There are different servers, so the Linux gamers can’t play with their Windows friends (at least not yet).

These release took place, after the Dota 2 version for Windows reached out the Beta version.

The Dota 2 Test version can be tested on a system running Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, 2.8 Ghz Dual Core CPU, 4 GB of RAM and 4 GB free space.

Of course, to play Dota 2 Test you need to have Steam already installed. If you are new to this, view the below links for installation instructions.
