Erle Robotics Has Created The First Ubuntu Snappy Core Powered Drone

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Erle Robotics has created the first Ubuntu Snappy Core powered drone, having 20 minute flight time and being able to carry up to 2 kg weight.

The Erle-Copter Ubuntu drone costs €574 (about $640), has ROS support for using different flight modes and is ideal for taking awesome photos. The drone has an APM Copter, support for using either 2.4 or 5 GHz frequencies for WiFi, 536 MB of free space and support for installing additional software via the Ubuntu Snappy App Store.
