Folder Color Has Been Added To The Default Repositories Of Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Folder Color is an open-source app that allows the users to easily color their folder icons, initially created for Nautilus.

Recently, Folder Color for Nautilus has been added to the default repositories of Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, so installing it is easy, just do:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install folder-color
$ nautilus -q

If you want to install Folder Color on Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.04 and derivatives that use Nautilus (Files) as the default file manager, you have to add the needed PPA, update the local repository index, install the folder-color package and restart nautilus:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:costales/folder-color
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install folder-color
$ nautilus -q

Optional, to remove folder color from either Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.04 or a derivative system, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove folder-color
