How To Install Atraci 0.7.0 On The Most Popular Linux Systems

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Atraci is an open-source, cross-platform, multimedia player that enables the users to easily play their favourite music, via YouTube.

Among others, the Atraci youtube client and media player allows the users to organize their music in playlists, perform quick searches by song, album, artist, etc and access a history of played songs. Due to the fact that the sustenance of the player comes from donations, it does not include any ads.

The latest version available is Atraci 0.70, which has been released a while ago, coming with the below changes:

In this article I will show you how to install Atraci 0.7.0 on Ubuntu, Debian, Elementary OS, Deepin, Peppermint, Pinguy OS, LXLE, Linux Lite, Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE, Mageia, OpenMandriva, Arch Linux, Manjaro and other Linux systems.

Because Atraci is not available via any repostory, we have to download the atraci archive from github, extract it, set execution permissions and run the atraci file. Follow the instructions for your system and architecture exactly, in order to get a successful installation.

How to install Atraci 0.7.0 on 32 bit Linux systems:

$ sudo rm -rf /opt/atraci
$ mkdir -p /opt/atraci
$ cd /opt/atraci
$ wget https://github.com/Atraci/Atraci/releases/download/0.7.0/Atraci-linux32.tar.gz
$ tar -xzvf Atraci-linux32.tar.gz
$ sudo rm Atraci-linux32.tar.gz
$ sudo chmod +x /opt/atraci
$ sudo ln -s /opt/atraci /usr/bin/atraci

To start the app, just open a terminal, type atraci and hit enter.

How to install Atraci 0.7.0 on 64 bit Linux systems:

$ sudo rm -rf /opt/atraci
$ mkdir -p /opt/atraci
$ cd /opt/atraci
$ wget https://github.com/Atraci/Atraci/releases/download/0.7.0/Atraci-linux64.tar.gz
$ tar -xzvf Atraci-linux64.tar.gz
$ sudo rm Atraci-linux64.tar.gz
$ sudo chmod +x /opt/atraci
$ sudo ln -s /opt/atraci /usr/bin/atraci

To start the app, just open a terminal, type atraci and hit enter.

Optional, to remove Atraci, from either 32 bit or 64 bit Linux systems, do:

$ sudo rm -rf /opt/atraci /usr/bin/atraci
