For Ubuntu 14.04 and Linux Mint 17, Birdie 1.1 is available via PPA, but if you don’t want to add new repositories to your system, use the method below.

How to install Birdie 1.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 and Linux Mint 17:

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget github.com/birdieapp/birdie/releases/download/1.1/birdie_1.1.0.r421.pkg19.ubuntu14.04.1_i386.deb
$ sudo apt-get install gdebi
