In this article I will show you how to install both Bluefish 2.2.4 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS.

Because Bluefish 2.2.4 is available in the default repositories of Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Linux Mint 16 Petra and Linux Mint 15 Olivia, installing it is easy, just update the local repository index and install Bluefish:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install bluefish

To install Bluefish 2.2.4 on Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, we have to use a third party PPA:
