How To Install Cable IRC Client on Ubuntu 13.10, 13.04, 12.04, Linux Mint 15, 13 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Cable is an open-source IRC client written in vala, that integrates very well on elementary OS. The latest version of Cable available is Cable 0.1.0, which is unstable.howIn this article I will show you how to install the Cable IRC client on Elementary OS Luna 0.2, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

Because it is available via PPA, installing Cable on Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS is easy. All you have to do is:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gotwig/weekly
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install cable
