ffDiaporama is available by PPA, so installing it on Ubuntu and Linux Mint is easy. All you have to do is:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ffdiaporamateam/stable
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install ffdiaporama
