Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, FileZilla is a popular FTP client, available for Linux, Windows and Mac systems. The latest version available is FileZilla 184.108.40.206, which has been recently released, coming only with a few bug-fixes.
In this article I will show you how to install FileZilla 220.127.116.11 on Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn.
Because it is available via PPA, installing FileZilla 18.104.22.168 on Ubuntu 14.10 is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the filezilla package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/programs-ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install filezilla
Optional, to remove filezilla, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove filezilla
