Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Gnome Pie is a circular application launcher, enabling the users to easily access their favorite apps, which they have added to the pie. For usage information, see this link.

The latest version available is Gnome Pie 0.5.5, which has been released a while ago.

In this article I will show you how to install Gnome Pie 0.5.5 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.

Because it is available via PPA, installing Gnome Pie 0.5.5 on the latest Ubuntu systems is easy. All you have to do is add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the gnome-pie package. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:simonschneegans/testing
