Starting with XBMC 14, the open-source software will be renamed to Kodi Entertainment Center, Kodi 14 being the first release.

Yesterday, the developers have made available Kodi 14.0 “Helix” Alpha 3, which comes with an international keyboard layout for the virtual keyboard, changes for the VP9 video codec to support multi-threading, auto updating of add-ons and 5.1 PCM playback for Android. For now, the developers are focusing a lot of making Kodi stable, and not implementing new features.
