Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, XBMC was a famous open source media hub and home theater PC, being translated in more than 30 languages. Also, its features can be highly extended via third party plugins and extensions and has support for PVR (personal video recorder).
Starting with XBMC 14, the open-source software will be renamed to Kodi Entertainment Center, Kodi 14 being the first release.
The latest stable version available is Kodi 14.2 Beta, which has been released a while ago, bringing the below fixes:
- Gap-less playback on MP3
- Playback of rtmp protocol
- Scanning of newly added episodes
- Fix multipath source scanning
- Loading external subtitles in some cases
- Packaging of PIL module on Android. This fixes some script error when using weather add-on
- Fix video playback on all platform after refresh rate change
- Various bugs that were present in PVR add-ons.
