How to Install Minecraft on Ubuntu 13.04 / 12.10 / 12.04 and Linux Mint 14 / 13

Hello Linux Geeks.

In this article I will show you how to install Minecraft on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

As you know, in Minecraft you build beautiful buildings, but also some structures to protect against nocturnal monsters.

So, let’s start the installation:

How to install Minecraft on Ubuntu 13.04 / 12.10 / 12.04 and Linux Mint 14 / 13:

Step 1. Add the PPA:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:minecraft-installer-peeps/minecraft-installer

Refresh the repo index:

$ sudo apt-get update

Install Minecraft:

$ sudo apt-get install minecraft-installer
