How to Install Miro 6.0 on Ubuntu 12.10/12.04 and Linux Mint 14/13

Hello Linux Enthusiasts.

In this article I will show you how to install Miro 6.0, an internet TV app, on Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 14 and Linux Mint 13.

Miro, known as Democracy Player or DTV is an internet television and video platform. It make easy for you to download and watch videos from feeds.

Miro is available in the default repositories also, but it is not the latest version of it.

And now, the bug that drove me crazy in the past is fixed. Audio skips when changing tab.

So, to install it on Ubuntu and Linux Mint, you have to, add the ppa, update the system and install the package:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pcf/miro-releases
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install miro
