How To Install Nvidia 319.23 Drivers on Debian, Linux Mint And Fedora

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you already know, Nvidia 319.23 drivers have been released. I have previously written this article on how to install Nvidia 319.23 Drivers on Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu 12.1o, Ubuntu 12.04 via PPA.

In this article I will show you how to install Nvidia 319.23 on Debian Sid, Debian Wheezy, Debian Squeeze, Fedora 19, Fedora 18, Fedora 17, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

Because there aren’t any PPAs available for this distros, we will download the drivers, set them execution permissions and run them.

For 32 bit Linux systems:

$ cd /tmp
$ wget -c us.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/319.23/NVIDIA-Linux-x86-319.23.run
$ sudo chmod +x NVIDIA-Linux-x86-319.23.run
$ ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-319.23.run

For 64 bit Linux systems:

$ cd /tmp
$ wget -c uk.download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/319.23/NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-319.23.run
$ sudo chmod +x NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-319.23.run
$ ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-319.23.run
