How to Install Outreel Video Converter on Ubuntu 13.04, 12.10, 12.04 and Linux Mint 15, 14, 13

Hello Linux Geeksters.

In this article I will show you how to instal Outreel on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

 

Outreel is an efficient frontend for the popular ffmpeg video converter. You can convert file formats like: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, AVCHD Video (*.m2ts, *.mts), Apple TV h.264 720P, MKV, HD WMV, MPEG2/MPEG-4 TS HD Video, to any format you prefer.

To install Outreel on Ubuntu and Linux Mint, do this:

$ wget http://nchc.dl.sourceforge.net/project/outreel/outreel_2.4.20.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i outreel_2.4.20.deb
$ sudo apt-get install -f
