Hello Linux Geeksters. As the name suggests, qBittorrent is a torrent client, similar to µTorrent, which was recently ported to the Linux systems. The latest version available is qBittorrent 3.1.1, which has been released recently. For a full list of changes and fixes, see the official release notes.
In this article I will show you how to install qBittorrent 3.1.1 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA, installing qBittorrent 3.1.1 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pear OS and Elementary OS is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the qbittorrent package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hydr0g3n/qbittorrent-stable
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install qbittorrent
