In this article I will show you how to install Rygel 0.20.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.

In order to get a successful installation of Rygel 0.20.2 on the listed Ubuntu systems, add the needed PPAs to your system, update the local repository index and install the rygel package. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yg-jensge/gupnp
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gstreamer-developers/ppa
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:vala-team/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install rygel
