How to Install SMPlayer 0.8.5 on Ubuntu 13.04, 12.10, 12.04

Hello Linux Geeksters. SMPlayer is a another free front-end for MPlayer (like Gnome MPlayer). I will show you how to install it via command line, from the SMPlayer repository.

In this article I will show you how to install SMPlayer 0.8.5 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.

Follow these instructions for a successful installation:

Add the repo:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rvm/smplayer

Update the repo index:

$ sudo apt-get update

Install SMPlayer:

$ sudo apt-get install smplayer smtube smplayer-themes
