As you may know, Task Coach is an open source todo manager, allowing the users to prioritize their tasks, sort the to do things under categories, in order to help the user do all the day’s jobs. The latest version available is Task Coack 1.3.32, which comes with many bugfixes and improvements. For more information, see the changelog.
In this article I will show you how to install Task Coach 1.3.32 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Debian Jessie, Debian Sid, Debian Wheezy, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, Pear OS 8, Fedora 19, Fedora 18, Fedora 17, CentOS 6, OpenSUSE 13.1, OpenSUSE 12.3, OpenSUSE 12.2, Mageia 4 and Mageia 3.
For Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Linux Mint 16 Petra and Debian Sid, Task Coach 1.3.32 is available in the default repositories, so installing it is easy, just do:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install taskcoach
For Ubuntu 13.04, Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 15, Linux Mint 14, Linux Mint 13, Debian Jessie, Debian Wheezy, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna and Pear OS 8, we have to download the deb file from the official site and install it with dpkg:
$ wget -c http://sourceforge.net/projects/taskcoach/files/taskcoach/Release-1.3.32/taskcoach_1.3.32-1.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i taskcoach_1.3.32-1.deb
$ sudo apt-get install -f
Task Coach 1.3.32 is also available on the official site for Fedora 19, Fedora 18, Fedora 17, CentOS 6, OpenSUSE 13.1, OpenSUSE 12.3, OpenSUSE 12.2, Mageia 4 and Mageia 3, so we will download the taskcoach*.rpm file and install it with rpm:
$ wget -c http://sourceforge.net/projects/taskcoach/files/taskcoach/Release-1.3.32/TaskCoach-1.3.32-1.noarch.rpm
$ sudo rpm -i TaskCoach-1.3.32-1.noarch.rpm
