How To Install TeamTalk 5 Alpha 2 On Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04 And Derivative Systems

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, TeamTalk is a free software that allows multiple users to perform audio and video conversations via the internet or LAN. The application provides both a server and a client.

Among others, the software has support for real time audio and video conversations, file sharing among group members, public and private instant messaging, push-to-talk, voice activation and conversation recording on the disk, user authentication with accounts and accessibility for visually impaired.

The latest version available is TeamTalk 5 Alpha 2, which has been released a while ago. Among others, it comes with a “no audio recording allowed channel”, adds back the support for anonymous user account login, allowing you to have an account with empty username and password and comes with various bug-fixes.
