There is no repository for the AMD Catalyst drivers, but they are available as precompiled libraries and can be easily downloaded from the official site, and run. Follow this intructions exactly, in order to get a successful installation.

How to install the AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.4 on Linux systems:

$ wget -c www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/amd-catalyst-13.11-beta-v9.4-linux-x86.x86_64.run.zip
$ unzip amd-catalyst-13.11-beta6-linux-x86.x86_64.zip
$ sudo chmod +x amd-catalyst-13.11-beta V9.4-linux-x86.x86_64.run
$ ./amd-catalyst-13.11-beta V9.4-linux-x86.x86_64.run

    please follow these quick steps.

    Download the AMD Catalyst 13.11 BETA 9.4 driver for Linux:
    www2.ati.com/drivers/beta/amd-catalyst-13.11-beta-v9.4-linux-x86.x86_64.run.zip

    Open a Terminal with (Ctrl + Alt + T) or do it manually:
    unzip amd-catalyst-13.2.11-beta-v9.4-linux-x86.x86_64.run.zip

    Now rename the unzipped file from “amd-catalyst-13.11-beta V9.4-linux-x86.x86_64.run” to “amd-catalyst-13.11-beta-v9.4-linux-x86.x86_64.run”

    Now back to your Terminal:
    sudo chmod +x amd-catalyst-13.11-beta-v9.4-linux-x86.x86_64.run
    sudo ./amd-catalyst-13.11-beta-v9.4-linux-x86.x86_64.run

      Hello. Thank you both for the article and insight. I am struggling with getting these installed on my machine.

      I am running Xubuntu 12. and using Terminal as suggested. I can download the zip but running the ‘unzip’ command does not seem to be recognized.

      Any feedback is greatly appreaciated.
