In this article I will show you how to install Intel Graphics Installer 1.0.8 on Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Fedora 21 and their derivative systems.

How to install the Intel Linux Graphics Installer 1.0.8 on Ubuntu 14.10 and derivative systems:

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget --no-check-certificate https://download.01.org/gfx/RPM-GPG-KEY-ilg -O - | sudo apt-key add -
$ sudo apt-get update
$ wget https://download.01.org/gfx/ubuntu/14.10/main/pool/main/i/intel-linux-graphics-installer/intel-linux-graphics-installer_1.0.8-0intel1_i386.deb
$ sudo gdebi intel-linux-graphics-installer_1.0.8-0intel1_i386.deb

Instructions for 64 bit systems:

$ wget --no-check-certificate https://download.01.org/gfx/RPM-GPG-KEY-ilg -O - | sudo apt-key add -
$ sudo apt-get update
$ wget https://download.01.org/gfx/ubuntu/14.10/main/pool/main/i/intel-linux-graphics-installer/intel-linux-graphics-installer_1.0.8-0intel1_amd64.deb
$ sudo gdebi intel-linux-graphics-installer_1.0.8-0intel1_amd64.deb

To start the Intel Linux Graphics Installer, on both 32 bit and 64 bit Ubuntu systems, open a terminal and type:

$ sudo intel-linux-graphics-installer

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget --no-check-certificate https://download.01.org/gfx/RPM-GPG-KEY-ilg ; sudo rpm --import RPM-GPG-KEY-ilg
$ sudo yum update
$ wget https://download.01.org/gfx/fedora/21/i686/intel-linux-graphics-installer-1.0.8-21.intel20144.i686.rpm
$ sudo yum localinstall intel-linux-graphics-installer-1.0.8-21.intel20144.i686.rpm

Instructions for 64 bit systems:

$ wget --no-check-certificate https://download.01.org/gfx/RPM-GPG-KEY-ilg ; sudo rpm --import RPM-GPG-KEY-ilg
$ sudo yum update
$ wget https://download.01.org/gfx/fedora/21/x86_64/intel-linux-graphics-installer-1.0.8-21.intel20144.x86_64.rpm
$ sudo yum localinstall intel-linux-graphics-installer-1.0.8-21.intel20144.x86_64.rpm

To start the Intel Linux Graphics Installer, on both 32 bit and 64 bit Fedora systems, open a terminal and type:

$ sudo intel-linux-graphics-installer
