How to Install the Microsoft TrueType Core Fonts on Mageia 3

Hello Mageia Users.

In this article I will show you how to install the Microsoft TrueType Core Fonts on Mageia 3. Because there is no package available for Mageia 3 (as I know of), I will use an msttcorefonts package for Mandriva.

All you have to do is:

Download the rpm package:

$ wget -c ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/seerofsouls.com/mandriva/official/2007.0/i586/main/msttcorefonts-bootstrap-0.1-4brs.noarch.rpm
$ su root
# rpm -i msttcorefonts-bootstrap-0.1-4brs.noarch.rpm

This is it. Enjoy.

If you are new to Mageia, but have previously used Fedora and Debian based distros, see this article.

Also, if you want to enable sudo on Mageia 3, this is how you do it.
