Hello Linux Geeksters. Numix is a GTK3 theme, created by Satya, compatible with Gnome 3.8 and Gnome 3.6. The updated version of Numix brings a few improvements from for Metacity and Mutter and adds the dark style for the GNOME terminal .

How To Install The Numix GTK3 Theme And Icons On Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail And Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal

In this article I will show you how to install the Numix GTK theme on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail and Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal.

This is how to install the Numix Theme on Ubuntu 13.04/12.10:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:satyajit-happy/themes
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gtk-theme-Numix

Optionally, you can install the Numix uTouch Icon Pack, on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix-utouch-icon-theme/utouch
$ sudo apt-get update

    Thanks for showing these themes and icons! They’re great!
    Fyi I tried this and it didn’t work
    $ sudo apt-get install gtk-theme-Numix

    I searched for the repository and found out it’s numix-gtk-theme so this worked
    $ sudo apt-get install numix-gtk-theme
