In this article I will show you how to install Vuze 5.5.0 on Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Deepin 2014, Peppermint Five, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0 and other Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 14.04 derivative systems.

Because it is available via the GetDeb repository, installing Vuze 5.5.0 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, get the repo’s key, update the local repository and install the vuze package.

Optional, to remove vuze, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove azureus
