How to Install Wine on Slackware 14.0

In this article I will show you how to install Wine on your Slackware 14.0 Linux System. It is easy, just download the Wine package from sourceforge.net and install it.

Download Wine from sourceforge:

* for 32 bit systems (this is the link):

http://sourceforge.net/projects/wine/files/Slackware%20Packages/1.5.22/i486/wine-1.5.22-i486-1sg.txz/download

* for 64 bit systems (this is the link):

http://sourceforge.net/projects/wine/files/Slackware%20Packages/1.5.22/x86_64/wine-1.5.22-x86_64-1sg.txz/download

Install Wine 1.5.22 on Slackware 14:

# upgradepkg --install-new wine-1.5.22*.txz
