How to Install XBMC 12.2 on Ubuntu 13.04, 12.10, 12.04 and Linux Mint 15, 14, 13

Hello Linux Geeksters.

In this article I will show you how to install XBMC on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

XBMC 12.2 Frodo is a famous open source media player. It is multiplatform, available on Linux, Windows and Mac OSX. XBMC has more than 30 language interfaces. To find out more about XBMC, read their wiki.

This is how to install XBMC on Ubuntu and Linux Mint:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install xbmc
