Bibfilex 1.2.6 Has Been Released

As you may know, Bibfilex is an open-source software that allows the users to manage book collections and comic books, import and export data, carry out targeted searches in a single field or between all elements. Also, it has a an auto complete feature for each field by typing Ctrl + Space.

The latest version available is Bibfilex 1.2.6, which brings the below changes:

  • New functionality to check for double items in the file in use (see menu item “Tools – Check for double items…”).
  • If the sort field is “ID Item”, when a file is opened, the last item is selected.
  • The shortcut “Ctrl + N” creates a new article.
  • The smart filter, if the selected field is “author”, will select all the items that contain the text to be searched, and not just that begin with it.
  • The field of the smart filter is remembered by the software.
  • In the “Abstract” and “Review” fields the shortcut “Ctrl + Shift + Q” inserts the \cite command along with the bibtex key of the current item; if this will be changed, it will be possibly updated also in these fields.
  • The autocompletion is activated also by “Ctrl + Shift + Space bar”, useful for OS X users.
  • Bugs fixing.
