Install Cinnamon On OpenSUSE 12.1

In this article I will show you how to install the Cinnamon Desktop Environemt on openSUSE 12.1 . This is an easy thing to do.

Linux Mint’s Cinnamon is a good replacement for Gnome 3 or even KDE.

Step 1. Add the Cinnamon repo:

$ sudo zypper ar http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/GNOME:/Cinnamon/12.1/GNOME:Cinnamon.repo

Step 2. Refresh the local repos:

$ sudo zypper refresh

Accept the key to go on.

Step 3. Install Cinnamon:

$ sudo zypper in cinnamon
