How To Install MyNotex 1.3.1 On Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE, Mageia And OpenMandriva

As you may know, MyNotex is an application for taking and organizing notes. Among others, the users can organize the notes in categories, change the font size, font type or font color, change the background color, highlight or underline the important stuff.

The latest version available is MyNotex 1.3.1, which has been recently released, bringing the below changes:

  • Diary view.
  • Shift all the dates of the activities one day backward or one day forward.
  • Default start date of a project.
  • Label with the start and end date of a project.
  • Change the color of the font and of the background of a subject or of a title of a note.
  • Sort manually the subjects and the notes.
  • Move the “activity done” lists in the text of a note.
  • Small icons on the left of the title of a note if it’s encrypted or has activities.
  • Print settings.
  • New icon for the tray.
  • More options in the “Options” form.
  • Bugs fixing.

Installation instructions:

To install MyNotex on RPM based systems like Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE, Mageia and OpenMandriva, you need to download the rpm package for your system’s architecture and install the package, via the default package manager.

How to install MyNotex on Fedora 22 systems:

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1 -O mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm
$ sudo dnf install mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm

Instructions for 64 bit systems:

$ wget https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1 -O mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm
$ sudo dnf install mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm

To remove mynotex, do:

$ sudo dnf remove mynotex

How to install MyNotex on Fedora 21 and CentOS 7 systems:

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1 -O mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm
$ sudo yum install mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm

Instructions for 64 bit systems:

$ wget https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1 -O mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm
$ sudo yum install mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm

To remove mynotex, do:

$ sudo yum remove mynotex

How to install MyNotex on OpenSUSE 13.2 systems:

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1 -O mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm
$ sudo zypper install mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm

Instructions for 64 bit systems:

$ wget https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1 -O mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm
$ sudo zypper install mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm

To remove mynotex, do:

$ sudo zypper remove mynotex

How to install MyNotex on Mageia and OpenMandriva systems:

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1 -O mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm
$ sudo urpmi mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.i386.rpm

Instructions for 64 bit systems:

$ wget https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/files/mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm?attredirects=0&d=1 -O mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm
$ sudo urpmi mynotex-1.3.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm

To remove mynotex, do:

$ sudo urpme mynotex
