Pixelitor 3.1.3 Has Been Released

Pixelitor 3.1.3 has been released, bringing a few new features and bug-fixes.

As you may know, Pixelitor is a free, open-source, image editing software with support for layers, image effects and multiple undo features.

The latest version available is Pixelitor 3.1.3, which has more than 80 image filters and color adjustments, some of them being unique to Pixelitor. Unfortunately, the changelog is not available, due to the fact that sourceforge is down for maintenance.

    Can’t install due to :

    The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    pixelitor : Depends: openjdk-8-jre but it is not installable
    Depends: jayatana but it is not installable

    Any suggestions ?

      openjdk-8-jre is available via the Universe repository (one of the default repos) of Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet.

      An alternative is to install the Oracle Java 8:

      $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java
      $ sudo apt-get update
      $ sudo apt-get install oracle-java8-installer

      And next, run the installation instruction for pixelitor again:

      $ sudo apt-get install pixelitor
