. As you may know, Shutter is a screenshot tool, similar to the Snipping Tool available on Windows systems.
The latest version available is Shutter 0.93.1, which is only a bug-fix release:
- updated Dropbox.pm and XFIXES.pm
- fixed deprecated code
- updated translations
In order to successfully install Shutter, we have to add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the shutter package:

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install shutter
Optional, to remove shutter, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove shutter
