How To Install Virtualbox 5.0 On All The Major Linux Systems

As you may know, Virtualbox is the most popular, free, cross-platform virtualization software.

The latest version available is Virtualbox 5.0  which has been recently released, bringing interesting new features, including Paravirtualization Support for Windows and Linux Guests, support for USB 3.0 devices, improved CPU Utilization, bi-directional drag and drop Support for Windows and disk image encryption.

Virtualbox provides either deb or rpm packages for the most popular Linux systems, so installing the software on Linux should not cause too many problems.

Just follow the instructions matching your system and architecture exactly, and everything should run smoothly.

How to install Virtualbox on Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr and derivative systems like Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Deepin 2014, Peppermint 6, Peppermint 5, LXLE 14.04 and Linux Lite 2:
