Kernel 4.0.1 Has Been Added To The Default Repositories Of Arch Linux

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Kernel 4.0.1 has been recently released, coming with changes and fixes, being the latest stable version of Kernel available.

Besides updated drivers, support for new devices and filesystem enhancements, starting with Kernel 4.0, the long awaited Life Patching feature has been implemented, which permits the users to update the kernel without having to reboot the system. While this is not important for regular users, this feature is very good for Linux servers.

Recently, Kernel 4.0.1 has been added to the default repositories of Arch Linux, so in order to get it on your Arch Linux, Manjaro, Antergos or other Arch Linux derivative systems, do:

sudo pacman -Syu
