Mozilla Firefox 21 Has Been Released | How to Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox 21 on Ubuntu 13.04, 12.10, 12.04 and Linux Mint 15, 14, 13

Hello Linux Geeksters.

In this article I will show you how to upgrade to Firefox 21.0 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

As you may know, Mozilla Firefox 21.0 has just been released. Although it is available for download on the mozilla ftp and in the mozilla repository, it will be officially presented on Thuesday.

Among the other new or improved features, Firefox 21 has 3 privacy options now (you can see them in the following printscreen):

How to upgrade to Mozilla Firefox 21 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint:

Add the repo:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-security/ppa

Update the repo index:

$ sudo apt-get update

Upgrade to the latest Firefox:

$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
