Mozilla Will Not Release Any New Firefox OS Phones

Along the internet browser business, Mozilla has been also working at Firefox OS, their Linux-based mobile operating system built in HTML5, for the low-cost phones.

For now, Mozilla has released a small number of Firefox OS cheap phones, developed by Alcatel, ZTE, LG and Huawei, among others.

Recently, the creators of Firefox have announced that they will not be releasing any new Firefox OS smartphones, but this does not mean that the operating system will die for good. While they exit the mobile phone business, they will try and make their operating system usable on Internet of Things projects, such as smart TVs.

Mozilla will still software for Android and iOS, the newest being Focus by Firefox for iOS, which is an adblocker app.
