ODROID-U3: Multi-Core ARM Singleboard Computer

After the octa-core ODROID-XU ARM single board computer, compatible of running both Linux and Android systems, Hardkernel has created another developer board, called ODROID-U3, available for only $59.

Hardware specifications:

  • Samsung Exynos 4412 quad-core processor (the CPU used on Samsung Galaxy S3)
  • 2 GB of RAM memory
  • 3 USB ports
  • 1 micro USB port
  • 1 microSD card slot
  • 10/100 Ethernet port

Since it is a developer’s board, it comes with UART and GPIO pins, socket for eMMC storage and also, additional input and output pins can be ordered.

Despite the fact that it does not have WiFi, this ARM device has the hardware specifications of a desktop computer, having official support for both Android 4.x and Xubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander.
