As you may know, Canonical is not focusing only on Ubuntu Touch, convergence and Ubuntu Desktop.

Also, the Ubuntu Snappy Core, developed to be the most advanced Internet of Things (ioT) OS, is important for Mark Shuttleworth.

Mark Shuttleworth has presented Ubuntu Snappy Core at the most important IoT event of the year, the Internet of Things World, which took place last month, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, United States.

The Keynote video of Mark Shuttleworth at IoT World can be seen here.

Snappy Ubuntu Core is yet another Ubuntu flavor, specially optimized to work on devices connected by the Internet of Things. Unlike the regular Ubuntu system, Ubuntu Snappy uses .snap packages, which will fix the “dependency handling” process, all the dependencies being included in the package.
