Hello Linux Geeksters. As I have written in this article, Sony has created an Android watch, called SmartWatch and made the source-code open source, to allow the developers to create third-party firmware for it.
Now, the company has created Sony SmartWatch 2, an improved Android wrist device. The problem with the first SmartWatch was its price and the bad software. Compared with the first model, SmartWatch 2 has better battery life, a more intuitive UI, better screen resolution and sunlight visibility, and many other new feautures.
Sony SmartWatch 2 specifications:
- 1.6 inch display, with 220 x 176 pixel resolution
- IP57-rated water resistance
- improved battery life
- Micro USB charger
