Teamviewer on Ubuntu and Linux Mint

Today I was googling for an alternative of Teamviewer for Ubuntu and I had found it. It is Teamviewer itself.

Teamviewer can also be installed on Ubuntu, Linux Mint or other Debian based Linux distro. I have tested it on Debian Sid, Ubuntu 12.10 and Linux Mint 14.

How to install Teamviewer?:

First download the teamviewer*.deb file, for your arch:

* 32 bit:

$ wget www.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer_linux.deb

* 64 bit:

$ wget www.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer_linux_x64.deb

Next, install the deb file, like this:

$ sudo dpkg -i teamviewer*.deb

    Thanks for this. A friend of mine has been telling me about Teamviewer within the past few weeks. This helped to kick me in the butt and get it installed on my machine! :)

    I just installed Teamviewer on Mint 15 and it was even easier than the instructions above!

    Just go to http://www.teamviewer.com and to the Download page. Make sure you download from the “Linux” section. Click the link for Ubuntu version, 32 bit or 64 bit, whichever you like.

    Once the file is downloaded, find it in the Downloads folder, right-click it and click Install.

    Worked perfectly.
