The Mesa Developers Now Have Free Access To All The Past, Present And Future Steam Games

Hello Linux Geeksters. As a reminder, Valve has offered free, lifetime, Steam licenses to both the Ubuntu and the Debian developers last year.

Recently, Valve has announced that the Intel Mesa developers will also receive lifetime access to all the past and future SteamOS games.

According to Collabora’s Daniel Stone, All the Mesa developers that have over 25 commits in the past five years, will get their free Steam license.

For those who don’t know yet, Valve, a member of The Linux Foundation, has initiated some ambitions projects: the SteamOS, a Linux operating system optimized for gaming, the Steam Machine, a gaming console that will run with SteamOS, a Debian based Linux gaming system and the Steam Controller, a game controller specially designed for SteamOS and the Steam Machine.

Valve is working hard right now at making SteamOS much better until November, when the Steam Machines will be released.
