The Pear OS Project Will Be Reborn Under A New Name: Clementine OS

Hello Linux Geeksters. As a reminder David Tavares, the main developer of Pear OS and the creator of SyncDrive, has sold his Linux distribution (Pear OS) last week, and so, the download link of Pear OS 8 has been removed from the site.

But the Pear OS project is not dead. A new team of developers have decided to continue the Pear OS work under Clementine OS, a name which may be connected to the Clementine music player.

The development of Clementine OS 10.8 will start in April 2014, after the release of Ubuntu 14.04 (on which it will be based). More information can be found on reddit.
