The Steam Controller Has Support For Other Linux Systems, As Well

Hello Linux Geeksters. It looks like Valve’s Steam Controller will work well on other Linux systems as well, not just the SteamOS, needing only the Human Interface Device (HID) driver loaded in the Linux kernel and not a specific kernel module.

A while after the Steam Controller has been announced, the developers have created a demo video of the gaming remote control in action, on the following games: Portal 2, Civilization V and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

For whose who don’t know yet, Valve has released their first beta version of the SteamOS 1.0 “Alchemist”, based on Debian Wheezy, yesterday. Also, the first 300 beta units of the Steam Machines have been sent to the lucky users, with testing purposes.
