While Ubuntu 14.04 can be easily downloaded from the official site and installed via LiveUSB, there are some old fashioned geeks that prefer to have the actual DVD of the system.

According to the developers, Ubuntu 14.04 should work on systems with 768 MB of RAM memory and 5 GB of disk space, or better, of course.

Canonical considers Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr the best Ubuntu system released so far, due to the fact that it got updated packages, a lot of new features and uses one of the newest kernels, so it supports the latest hardware specs.

Among the new features implemented, worth mentioning are the following ones: minimize windows by single clicking the launcher, increase the volume up to 200%, locally integrated menus, window filtering by title, the Login Screen and the Lock Screen have been made to look identical.
