The Ubuntu Touch Community Is Pleased With The OTA-6 Update

The Ubuntu Touch OTA-6 Update has been officially released for the BQ Aquaris E4.5 and E5 HD, with one week delay from the versions for Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Meizu MX4, because BQ needed more time to perform some tests.

The OTA-6 Update bring support for creating Wi-Fi Hotspots, a new boot splash screen, custom alarm sounds, a new “Find in Page” option for the internet browser, under the hood improvements for the Oxide video player, the “high volume” warning has received changes, the Camera app and Pulse Audio have received Trust Store integration, the Facebook integration has been enhanced as well and some performance optimizations have been implemented for the networking, telephone and UI Toolkit.

The Ubuntu Touch OTA-6 Update has been received well by the users, and now the developers are working at the OTA-7 Update. Despite the fact that the development is in its early stages, the some bug-fixes for the Today Scope will be implemented for the Meizu MX4 users.
