Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the developers have adopted Kernel 3.13.5 on their Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, despite the fact that Kernel 3.13.6 has been already avainble.
On the unstable branch, they are already testing Kernel 3.14 RC5 by default. If a stable version of Kernel 3.14 gets released until the 3rd of April when the Ubuntu 14.04 Kernel Freeze is scheduled, most likely it will be set as default.
Canonical’s plan is to implement the latest (stable) Kernel available, in order to support the newest hardware specs.
As a reminder, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr will be released on the 17th of April, 2014.
