Ubuntu 15.04 Now Uses Kernel 3.18.3, While The Unstable Branch Got Kernel 3.19 RC6

From the mailing lists:

“Our Vivid kernel has been rebased to v3.18.3 upstream stable. It’s been uploaded to the archive, 3.18.0-11.2. We’ll rebase to v3.18.4 shortly. We’ve also rebased our unstable branch to v3.19-rc6 and uploaded to our ckt PPA,”

Canonical intends to use either Kernel 3.19 or Kernel 20 on the final version of Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, depending on how fast Linus moves with the kernel development.

As a reminder, Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet is scheduled for release on the 23rd of April 2015 and will bring a bunch of interesting changes.
